Funeral home brokers NewBridge Group.

Brevard, North Carolina -  Moody-Connolly Funeral Home of Brevard, North Carolina  announced earlier this week that it brought in a new equity partner.   

Wayne Connolly and his family have been the sole owners of the funeral home for more than 30 years and Wayne was interested in reducing his daily responsibilities.    The Connolly's hired NewBridge Group to assist in exploring opportunities for the business and the owners.      After assisting Wayne with interviewing more than 5 possible buyers or partnerships, he ultimately decided that the best fit was to bring in Chris Biecker, a local North Carolina funeral director that would come in as an equity partner and also manage the daily operations.    

Chris Biecker, was managing a funeral home in Lenoir, North Carolina prior to coming in as a partner at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.    Mr. Biecker is going to be the managing partner and oversee daily operations.     He's planning to do some light renovation to the property and also make video tributes available to the families that are served by the funeral home.   Wayne Connolly is going to continue to meet with families but will eventually begin to reduce his daily responsibilities.   All of the other staff, including George King, the long-time lead funeral director, are going to remain in their current positions.

NewBridge Group assisted the Connolly family in the transition.   NewBridge also assisted in locating financing for the equity purchase.
