2006- Six Alderwoods Locations Purchased by Individuals

GEORGIA - Alderwoods Group announced this week that it has divested of six businesses located in Georgia. NewBridge Group, one of the funeral industries most active business brokers, lead a group of individuals in a group purchase of the locations. Vineyard Financing, a financial partner to the industry, participated in the financing for the purchasers. Because of Alderwoods desire to divest of the properties quickly, the closing had to occur simultaneously with just one buyer. The locations were initially purchased from Alderwoods and then distributed to final owners.
