NewBridge Group Assists Ehret Funeral Home of Puerto Rico in its Recent Sale
San Juan, Puerto Rico – NewBridge Group is pleased to have represented Funeraria Ehret, one of the largest funeral homes serving Puerto Rico, in its recent sale to Servicios Funerarios Catolicos, LLC, a leading provider of Catholic funeral services in Puerto Rico.
Founded by Robert D. Ehret, Funeraria Ehret was established with a mission to provide quality care to families in need and has been a trusted pillar of the San Juan community since the 1960s. Over the years, it has become a cherished institution in the San Juan community, serving nearly 1,000 families annually, and upholding its founder’s legacy of compassion and dedication.
The sale of Funeraria Ehret comes at a significant juncture for the Robert D. Ehret Foundation, established in 1958 with a mission to provide financial assistance to nonprofit institutions serving the people of Puerto Rico.
As the Foundation reached a maturity milestone, it sought greater control over its annual donation funds. Working alongside NewBridge, the sale of the funeral home allowed the Foundation to monetize an asset to better serve institutions in need while unburdening the funeral home from the unique challenges of reporting to a nonprofit entity.
The NewBridge Group worked with multiple possible buyers before Servicios Funerarios Catolicos eventually being chosen as the new owner of Ehret. The buyer communicated openly their common commitment to upholding the traditions of compassionate care and service to families in their time of need.
