The NewBridge Group is pleased to announce the successful sale of O’Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home to Rollings Funeral Service.
Serving families in the Novi community since 1898, the business was most recently owned and led by John P. O’Brien. John’s father, John J. O’Brien, began his career in funeral service in the Detroit metro area in 1950 working with the Ted C. Sullivan Funeral Home. John J. identified Novi as an ideal, growing community, and built his own facility there. However, he wanted to give homage to the Sullivan name, who helped him early in his career. The O’Brien family has maintained a strong tradition of dedication to service excellence, which was a key factor in Rollings Funeral Service’s interest in the acquisition.
The funeral home has long been recognized for its commitment to serving a diverse community, serving all religions and denominations including Catholic and Hindu families.

In 2025, NewBridge introduced John to Greg Rollings, and the two licensed funeral directors quickly built a strong rapport. Greg was impressed not only by the high level of service and staff but also by the exceptional facility.
The O’Brien-Sullivan name will continue under the new ownership, with Rollings Funeral Service focusing on streamlining operations to improve efficiencies in areas such as payroll, billing, accounting, casket and insurance savings, and staff recruitment.
